Welcome

Christian Education Events

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the online site of the new "WWE", which is known as "The Williamson Worship Experience". We hope that our website highlights the wide variety of worship, fellowship and service opportunities available. Williamson Chapel CME Church, also known as the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, established in the historical Needmore community just off Old Hickory Lake is a place of inspirational worship and excitement. We strive to be a community that embraces diversity and culture with a family style atmosphere.  We preach the biblical Word of God and seek to teach you how to live accordingly through reaching out to meet the needs of the community and world around us.

Someone said, "the best little-big church in the world." Please feel free to read more about our church on this site, or come in for a visit. We would love to greet you and share with you our love for Jesus Christ and for you, our neighbor.

We are not another wrestling entertainment show. "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." Eph. 6:12

Paul also reminds us that everyone in the new WWE holds a title belt. [Eph.6:14]

This Week's Sermon

Are You Ready to Get Out of OZ? - Ruth 1:1-14 [Part 1 of a series ]

In comparing the text to the broadway production of the Wiz, we discover how, like Ruth, we end up in the land of Oz. A foreign land not of God. Oz is is not real, but state of mind brought on by famine or a storm. It happens when we lost sight of the Kingdom of God and conform to the world. Ruth makes a decision to leave Moab and go back home. To strengthen her decision she is accompanied by Naomi who become her close companion. We call this our "Toto friend". Toto was faithful to Dorothy like Naomi was to Ruth. Naomi heard that God was doing things at home that he wasn't doing in Moab. We often get too comfortable living in the land of Oz following a fake Wizard when God has a blessing for us at home.
